Introduction
|
The International Palace is located in the middle of the Via Nazionale, in the heart of ancient Rome, where it stands out with its magnificent Renaissance facade. Built at the end of the 19th century, it has been entirely renovated to create an unique ambience that combines classic elegance and modern hospitality. The comfortable and refined rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture. A careful restoration has modernised the building, bringing it up to international standards of hospitality. The entrance hall is an ancient gallery which stretches from the marble door to the cloister inside. The marble steps are original. The entrance Gallery is inspired by the Palladian villas of 15th century. Trompe-l'oeil figures and ancient Roman landscapes welcome visitors, while the classical colonnade is in harmony with the marble floor. The six metre high ceiling with a refined golden decoration lends magnificence to the entrance hall. |

The International Palace is situated at the end of Via Nazionale, in the very heart of Rome. At the beginning of this street there is Piazza della Repubblica, one of the most beautiful and important squares of the city. At the end of Via Nazionale there is Piazza Venezia and the famous archaeological area of ancient Rome. From the hotel you can easily reach all the major archaeological sites such as the Fori Imperiali, the Coliseum, the Capitol and many more. Via Nazionale is also renowned for its shops and theatres (such as Teatro Nazionale, Eliseo, Teatro dell’Opera). |
